Responsibilities
- Architect and manage CircleCI pipelines, runner clusters, and self-service automation tools for secure application delivery.
- Deploy and evolve ArgoCD GitOps workflows across multiple clusters and environments.
- Design and manage resilient, multi-region AWS EKS infrastructure and containerized workloads.
- Manage Kubernetes cluster scheduling and scaling with Karpenter.
- Enforce Kubernetes security practices using Network Policies and IAM Roles for Service Accounts.
- Architect and support Istio Service Mesh implementations, including mTLS, routing, ingress and egress gateways, circuit breaking, and canary releases.
- Diagnose complex service mesh, multi-cluster, and distributed systems issues.
- Partner with engineering squads, provide platform expertise, and mentor teams on DevOps best practices.
- Improve platform reliability, security, performance, resilience, and cost efficiency.
Requirements
- At least 6 years of cloud engineering, infrastructure automation, or DevOps platform experience.
- At least 3 years of hands-on experience with AWS services including EKS, EC2, VPC, Route 53, S3, and IAM.
- At least 2 years of expert-level experience administering production-grade Amazon EKS and containerized workloads.
- At least 1 year of production experience designing and managing Istio Service Mesh in distributed or multi-cluster environments.
- Experience with CircleCI, ArgoCD, Kubernetes, multi-cluster environments, cluster scaling, and self-service platform automation.
- Experience with Kubernetes Network Policies, IRSA, mTLS, traffic management, and distributed systems troubleshooting.
- Preferred certifications include CKA, CKS, or AWS Certified DevOps Engineer – Professional.
- Hands-on experience or familiarity with Google Cloud Platform and GKE is preferred.
