Responsibilities
- Support development of secure applications and systems across Vanguard’s technology environment.
- Help implement security controls and best practices within software and platforms.
- Assist with identifying and addressing application and infrastructure vulnerabilities.
- Build or enhance tools, scripts, and processes that improve security and automation.
- Collaborate with engineering, security, and platform teams to deliver secure solutions.
- Contribute to design, development, and testing efforts within Agile teams.
- Participate in mentorship, coaching, feedback, and professional development activities.
Requirements
- Be pursuing a bachelor’s or master’s degree in Computer Science, Cybersecurity, Information Technology, or a related field.
- Demonstrate interest in software engineering focused on security and system protection.
- Have familiarity with programming concepts and willingness to learn secure coding practices.
- Demonstrate strong problem-solving, analytical, communication, and collaboration skills.
- Be curious about designing systems that prevent and mitigate risk.
- Be able to work independently and as part of a team.
- A cumulative GPA of 3.2 or higher is preferred.
- Visa sponsorship is not offered.
