Responsibilities
- Design scalable backend architectures for systems supporting billions of transactions.
- Build and operate backend systems serving 100M+ daily active users.
- Optimize APIs to achieve sub-50ms latency.
- Lead technology-focused projects and own high-scale distributed systems.
- Mentor engineers, conduct code reviews, and promote engineering best practices.
- Use GPT and other AI coding tools for architecture design, prototyping, code reviews, and developer productivity.
Requirements
- 5+ years of hands-on backend engineering experience.
- Strong experience with Java, Spring Boot, and AWS.
- Proven ownership of high-scale distributed systems.
- Deep knowledge of messaging systems, caching, storage optimization, and cloud scalability.
- Strong architectural thinking and the ability to design systems for billions of transactions.
- Strong leadership, mentoring, and code-review skills.
- Bachelor's or master's degree in Computer Science or equivalent, preferably from a Tier 1/2 college.
- Experience using or willingness to use GPT, Copilot, and other AI coding tools.
