Responsibilities
- Design, develop, and maintain scalable backend systems for identity verification, KYC, authentication, and related services.
- Own complex technical projects from design through implementation, testing, deployment, and maintenance.
- Build reliable distributed systems supporting millions of customers across multiple markets.
- Collaborate with Product, Risk, Compliance, and engineering teams to deliver identity and KYC solutions.
- Contribute to technical architecture, engineering standards, code reviews, and best practices.
- Identify and resolve performance, scalability, reliability, and security challenges.
- Use AI-assisted development tools and modern engineering practices to improve productivity and software delivery.
- Mentor other engineers and contribute to knowledge sharing and continuous improvement.
Requirements
- At least 5 years of professional backend software development experience.
- Strong experience designing and building distributed systems and scalable backend services.
- Experience with Go, or strong experience in another backend language with willingness to transition to Go.
- Strong understanding of software engineering principles, system design, testing, CI/CD, and production operations.
- Experience with complex systems where reliability, security, and scalability are critical.
- Strong problem-solving and technical decision-making skills.
- Good verbal and written communication skills.
- Experience working effectively within cross-functional engineering teams.
- Preferred: experience in Identity, KYC, authentication, fraud prevention, onboarding, fintech, banking, payments, or related financial services.
- Preferred: strong Go and Go-based backend experience, microservices, event-driven architectures, distributed systems, and AWS or other major cloud platforms.
- Preferred: experience with AI coding assistants, LLM-based developer tools, AI-assisted workflows, mentoring engineers, and contributing to technical direction.
