Base Salary
$80k - $165k/yr
Responsibilities
- Refine existing product functionality to deliver an exceptional user experience.
- Improve consistency, cohesion, layout, interactions, responsiveness, and visual polish across the product.
- Implement performance improvements that directly affect end users.
- Build scalable backend solutions in collaboration with full-stack, data, ML, and DevOps engineers.
- Own projects through completion with minimal oversight, communicate blockers proactively, and iterate through experimentation and measurement.
Requirements
- 5+ years of software engineering experience, ideally including work improving and polishing product functionality.
- Strong fundamentals in system design, debugging, and problem-solving.
- Experience with a modern frontend framework, preferably React.
- Knowledge of JavaScript, TypeScript, or Python, with consideration for candidates from other object-oriented backgrounds.
- Experience with serverless technologies such as Lambda and EC2, asynchronous workflows, and cloud environments.
- Comfort working with relational databases, ideally PostgreSQL.
- Strong ownership, communication, experimentation, and project-completion skills.
- Experience with LLMs/generative AI or distributed systems is a bonus.
