Base Salary
$184k - $257k/yr
Responsibilities
- Represent the security organization in product strategy and roadmap development with engineering teams and leadership.
- Identify, prioritize, and execute strategic initiatives that improve product security maturity at scale.
- Provide architectural, design, and threat-based security guidance before code is written.
- Conduct code reviews in Python, PHP, Java, Ruby, Go, Rust, C, C++, or similar languages.
- Shift security detection and prevention left into development workflows.
- Serve as the primary liaison between product or engineering teams and the Meta security organization.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s or master’s degree in computer science, engineering, or a related technical discipline, or equivalent experience.
- 8+ years of experience in product security engineering, including securing software and services.
- Experience addressing product security risks across broad problem spaces through influence and relationships.
- Experience designing, analyzing, improving the efficiency, scalability, and stability of distributed systems and conducting threat-model assessments.
- Experience communicating security risks and roadmaps to leadership.
- Preferred: experience integrating AI tools, applying responsible and ethical AI practices, developing prompt or context engineering and agent orchestration skills, contributing to the security or privacy community, and expertise in web, mobile, distributed infrastructure, consumer-device, production-hardware, or related security domains.

- Annual base salary of $184,000/year to $257,000/year, plus bonus, equity, and benefits.
