Responsibilities
- Design, develop, test, deploy, and provide production support for scalable software solutions serving Fidelity retirement customers.
- Build and maintain high-volume transactional systems, server-side enterprise applications, domain-intensive RESTful APIs, and containerized services.
- Develop and deploy cloud-neutral, 12-factor APIs using AWS, Azure, Docker, and Kubernetes.
- Participate in architecture, design, and code reviews and create technical artifacts from business and systems requirements.
- Analyze and document legacy implementations involving C++, COM, Java, and .NET to support modernization and re-platforming.
- Collaborate with product, architecture, producer, consumer, business, systems, and global engineering teams on end-to-end solutions.
- Mentor junior software developers and contribute to technical leadership for medium-sized projects.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s or master’s degree in computer science or a related technology discipline.
- At least three years of software development experience on business-critical, enterprise-wide applications.
- Experience designing, developing, and maintaining high-volume transactional systems and scalable server-side applications.
- Experience developing RESTful APIs with Java and Microsoft .NET Core using C#.
- Experience with object-oriented design, design patterns, domain-driven design, service-oriented architecture, and microservices architecture.
- Experience with AWS or Azure and with deploying cloud-neutral, containerized applications.
- Experience with Azure DevOps, Jenkins, production support, relational databases, and automated unit, functional, and non-functional testing.
- Experience debugging and documenting legacy systems involving C++, COM, Java, and .NET.
- Experience leading and mentoring junior developers; technology leadership aspirations are a plus.
- Financial services domain experience, Agile/Scrum experience, and experience leading medium-sized projects are preferred.
- Strong analytical, problem-solving, organizational, written communication, verbal communication, collaboration, and multitasking skills.
