Base Salary
$124k - $155k/yr
Responsibilities
- Design and implement maintainable backend services and APIs.
- Own features and functional areas from technical design through production support.
- Work with relational and non-relational databases and file/object storage for secure data access.
- Integrate with third-party identity and document-verification vendors.
- Improve code quality, testing, deployment, logging, monitoring, reliability, and performance.
- Participate in design discussions, propose trade-offs, and conduct code and design reviews.
- Identify and mitigate technical and delivery risks.
- Collaborate with engineering, Product, Design, and Compliance/Risk stakeholders.
- Support onboarding of new engineers and contribute to team culture.
Requirements
- Have 3+ years of professional software development experience.
- Use AI throughout the software development lifecycle.
- Be proficient in at least one backend language such as Kotlin, Java, Go, or Python.
- Be proficient in at least one frontend language such as ReactJS or Vue.
- Have experience building and operating production services on cloud platforms such as AWS.
- Have experience with relational and non-relational databases.
- Demonstrate strong software design fundamentals and the ability to write clean, tested, maintainable code.
- Have experience writing automated tests and working in CI/CD environments.
- Communicate technical ideas clearly within a team.
- Preferred qualifications include experience with DynamoDB or other large-scale NoSQL stores, distributed systems, GraphQL, API gateway design, document or image processing, identity-verification vendors, sensitive or regulated data, observability, and operational best practices.
