Base Salary
$164k - $235k/yr
Responsibilities
- Own fleet reliability and lead the strategy for Portal’s SaaS infrastructure.
- Architect infrastructure on GCP and AWS using Terraform and infrastructure-from-code patterns.
- Drive operational excellence by evolving incident management and postmortem practices.
- Operate across a modern web stack and diagnose issues end-to-end.
- Mentor engineers and establish SRE best practices.
- Partner with engineering and product leadership to shape the infrastructure roadmap.
Requirements
- 5+ years of experience operating cloud infrastructure (GCP and/or AWS).
- Experience with Terraform and Kubernetes for running production systems.
- Practical experience with LLM-based systems or agentic workloads.
- Proficient in at least one modern programming language (TypeScript, Java, Go, or Python).
- Ability to build automation to improve systems and reduce operational issues.
- Strong communication skills for explaining infrastructure trade-offs to stakeholders.
