Responsibilities
- Own and deliver quarterly team goals while leading engineers through ambiguous, open-ended problems.
- Collaborate with product management, design, and analytics throughout the product development lifecycle.
- Identify and lead resolution of project, process, technology, and business issues.
- Support operations and availability by creating and monitoring metrics, escalating issues, and participating in on-call efforts.
- Set and improve code review and design standards and promote quality and ownership through writing and technical talks.
- Develop team talent through feedback, guidance, and leading by example.
- Build and operate consumer-facing Direct-to-Consumer products for international markets.
Requirements
- 4+ years of experience as a software engineer.
- Experience designing, developing, and launching backend systems at scale using technologies such as Python, Kotlin, AWS, MySQL, and Kubernetes.
- Experience shipping web applications using declarative UI frameworks such as React or Vue.
- Ability to define technical plans for significant features or system components with simple, extensible designs.
- Ability to write high-quality, maintainable code and make significant changes safely in large codebases.
- Experience using AI efficiently to deliver high-quality products.
- Strong verbal and written communication skills for collaboration with a global engineering team.
- Demonstrated ownership of professional growth and proactive feedback-seeking.
