Base Salary
$158k - $325k/yr
Responsibilities
- Design and scale backend services, APIs, and data pipelines powering Collate’s products.
- Deliver production-ready, end-to-end features in partnership with product, design, and AI engineering.
- Balance rapid iteration with technical rigor and reliable system design.
- Create internal tools and workflows that improve engineering productivity.
- Participate in the production on-call rotation.
Requirements
- Experience building across the software stack with deeper strength in backend systems.
- Ability to take features from idea through backend architecture to polished user interfaces.
- Strong concern for technical robustness and end-user experience.
- Comfort working through ambiguity, learning unfamiliar areas, and solving novel problems.
- Pragmatic, fast-moving, and scrappy approach with judgment about when to design for robustness.
- Experience as an early-stage engineer or startup founder, or the ownership mindset to work at that level.
