Base Salary
$87k - $157k/yr
Responsibilities
- Integrate security practices into DevOps pipelines for DoD applications and ensure compliance with relevant standards.
- Implement and automate security tools and processes within CI/CD workflows.
- Conduct vulnerability assessments, penetration testing, and threat modeling, and remediate identified security issues.
- Collaborate with development and operations teams on secure coding practices and security controls.
- Configure and manage static, dynamic, and infrastructure-as-code security tools.
- Participate in incident response, security alert monitoring, and cross-functional incident coordination.
- Mentor junior team members and provide guidance on DevSecOps practices and tools.
Requirements
- U.S. citizenship and an active Top Secret clearance with the ability to obtain and maintain SCI before starting.
- Bachelor’s degree with 4+ years of experience or master’s degree with 2+ years of experience; additional experience may substitute for a degree.
- Three to five years of professional software development experience, with preferred experience in DevSecOps and configuration management.
- Strong understanding of software development paradigms, version control, CI/CD, and tools such as Jira or GitLab.
- Experience with Linux, Windows, network administration, and networking protocols including HTTP, HTTPS, SSL/TLS, SMTP, and DNS.
- Experience provisioning and managing IaaS or cloud resources using Azure, AWS, or Google Cloud Platform.
- Experience with Docker, Kubernetes, and automated provisioning or configuration tools such as Terraform, CloudFormation, Chef, Puppet, or Ansible.
- Preferred qualifications include Air Force Life Cycle Management Center experience, DoD IAM or Advanced certifications, cloud certifications, SAST/DAST/IAST experience, OWASP and NIST knowledge, Keycloak administration, and Helm experience.
- Strong analytical, problem-solving, communication, collaboration, and independent-work skills.
