Base Salary
$140k - $180k/yr
Responsibilities
- Own and deliver high-quality software solutions deployed to customers and aligned with mission objectives.
- Develop software capabilities for specific operational needs and collaborate with platform engineering to scale them to broader use cases.
- Plan, build, and test complex functionality with multidisciplinary teams.
- Create and use performance metrics to debug and monitor deployed systems.
- Identify root causes of system issues, propose solutions, and coordinate next steps.
- Partner with customers and end-users to translate needs into features while balancing user experience and technical constraints.
- Deploy and support software in real-world operational environments.
Requirements
- Strong engineering background, ideally in Computer Science, Software Engineering, Mathematics, or Physics.
- At least 3 years of experience with C++, Python, or Rust in a Linux development environment.
- Experience building software solutions involving significant data processing and analysis.
- Ability to understand complex systems and established codebases quickly.
- Must be a United States citizen and eligible for U.S. clearance.
- Preferred experience developing and testing multi-agent autonomous systems in real-world scenarios.
- Preferred familiarity with robotics and autonomy frameworks such as ROS or MOOS-IvP.
- Preferred experience with flight systems, safety-critical software, or hardware integration.
- Preferred understanding of distributed communication networks and messaging standards.
- Preferred knowledge of military systems and operational tactics.
- Must be based in the San Diego, California area or willing to relocate.
