Base Salary
$165k - $270k/yr
Responsibilities
- Design, build, and operate a highly reliable distributed telemetry platform that ingests, processes, stores, and queries petabyte-scale data
- Collaborate with engineers on architecture, design, and code reviews
- Partner with satellite and rocket teams to understand mission needs and translate them into technical solutions
- Own the complete software and hardware stack end to end
- Analyze business problems and develop efficient solutions using first-principles thinking
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in computer science, data science, engineering, mathematics, physics, or a scientific discipline, or 7+ years of professional software-building experience in lieu of a degree
- 5+ years of experience in full-stack development or software engineering
- Programming experience in C#, Java, or similar languages
- Experience designing, building, and optimizing large-scale distributed systems for high-volume data processing and querying
- Hands-on experience with Kubernetes and containerized deployments
- Working knowledge of Linux, version control, testing, CI/CD, deployment, and monitoring systems
- Willingness to work extended hours and weekends when needed
- Must meet applicable ITAR eligibility or authorization requirements
