Responsibilities
- Design and build SAP Fiori and SAPUI5 applications using freestyle UI5, Fiori Elements, and OData V2/V4 services.
- Develop and configure Fiori Launchpad roles, catalogs, tiles, page layouts, custom extensions, and app variants.
- Develop ABAP OO classes, function modules, BAPI/BAdI implementations, enhancement spots, RAP artifacts, CDS views, business logic, and OData services.
- Integrate SAP S/4HANA with SAP BTP services, CAP applications, event-driven messaging, REST/SOAP APIs, DRF, and IDOCs.
- Apply AI coding assistants across design, implementation, refactoring, testing, bug triage, and documentation while validating and challenging generated code.
- Modernize legacy ECC ABAP code and ensure clean-core, security, performance, testing, and extensibility compliance.
- Support greenfield development, brownfield conversion, SIT/UAT/regression defect analysis, and regression-safe fixes.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Information Systems, or a related field, or equivalent practical experience.
- At least 2 years of hands-on SAP S/4HANA developer experience in on-premises or cloud environments.
- Strong OO ABAP, RAP, CDS views, OData, SEGW, managed and unmanaged development experience.
- Proven SAP Fiori and SAPUI5 experience including MVC architecture, routing, OData binding, and Fiori Elements floorplans.
- Experience with at least two of SAP Business Application Studio, Eclipse ADT, and Visual Studio Code.
- Demonstrated use of an AI coding assistant such as Copilot, Joule, Cowork, or an equivalent tool, with the ability to assess generated code for functional correctness and security.
- English professional working proficiency is required; Dutch or French is advantageous depending on client context.
- SAP BTP, Cloud Foundry, CAP, SAP HANA Cloud, connectivity, SAP Build, SAP Build Work Zone, S/4HANA Public Cloud extensibility, SAP certifications, or ECC modernization experience are advantageous.
- Candidates must already be legally authorized to work in Belgium.
