Responsibilities
- Design, build, and maintain Salesforce CRM Analytics dashboards, lenses, datasets, dataflows, and SAQL queries.
- Develop and optimize Salesforce Reports and Dashboards for Sales, Service, Marketing, Operations, and other business units.
- Build and manage analytics data pipelines and integrate Salesforce with external data sources using connectors, APIs, and ETL pipelines.
- Use Salesforce Data Cloud to unify, harmonize, and activate customer and operational data for analytics.
- Develop Apex, Lightning Web Components, and Salesforce Flows to extend analytics capabilities within Salesforce applications.
- Implement Einstein Discovery models and predictive recommendations in Salesforce records and dashboards.
- Apply Salesforce data governance, security models, row-level security, field-level security, performance, reliability, and operational resilience practices.
- Collaborate with analysts, data engineers, and stakeholders to translate analytics requirements into scalable technical designs.
- Monitor, troubleshoot, and optimize dashboard performance, data refresh schedules, dataflows, and production systems.
- Conduct code and dashboard reviews, mentor junior engineers, influence technical direction, and drive adoption of engineering best practices.
- Stay current with Salesforce Analytics releases and recommend new platform features.
- Participate in Agile/Scrum ceremonies, technical design, debugging, root cause analysis, deployment, and production support.
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Data Science, Engineering, Software Engineering, Computer Engineering, Information Systems, or a related field, or equivalent experience.
- At least 5 years of hands-on Salesforce development experience and at least 3 years of Salesforce CRM Analytics experience are required for the Salesforce analytics scope.
- At least 4 years of experience in software engineering, systems engineering, application development, platform engineering, or a related field are required.
- Proficiency with Salesforce CRM Analytics, Tableau CRM, Einstein Analytics, dashboard design, dataflow development, SAQL, Salesforce Reports and Dashboards, Apex, Lightning Web Components, SOQL/SOSL, and Salesforce Flow.
- Experience with Salesforce Data Cloud or customer data platform concepts and with Salesforce data models, security models, governor limits, and secure engineering practices.
- Experience integrating Salesforce with external data sources through REST/SOAP APIs, Salesforce Connect, or third-party ETL tools.
- Experience with Salesforce DX, Git, CI/CD deployment pipelines, development frameworks, testing tools, source control, observability, and collaboration platforms.
- Active Salesforce Certified Platform Developer I certification is required.
- Preferred qualifications include Salesforce CRM Analytics and Einstein Discovery Consultant, Salesforce Certified Platform Developer II, Salesforce Data Cloud Consultant, AWS Certified Cloud Practitioner, AZ-900 Azure Fundamentals, or RHCSA certifications.
- Preferred experience includes Einstein Discovery, Tableau, Snowflake, Azure Synapse, Google BigQuery, AWS Redshift, Python, SQL, R, data warehousing, dimensional modeling, ETL/ELT, data governance, and healthcare, pharmaceutical, or life sciences industries.
- Ability to independently lead complex engineering work, communicate technical options and risks, influence design decisions, mentor less experienced engineers, and present analytical findings to non-technical stakeholders.
