Responsibilities
- Design, implement, and continuously improve systems for data ingestion, processing, storage, and sharing.
- Build and optimize scalable, high-performance data architectures and ETL/ELT pipelines.
- Integrate systems and synchronize data across domains using real-time, message-based, and event-driven approaches.
- Maintain data quality, security, availability, and performance standards.
- Collaborate with analysts, software engineers, and business stakeholders to understand data needs and deliver solutions.
- Perform code reviews, troubleshoot software, and fix defects.
- Implement monitoring and alerting for data workflows.
- Work in a cross-functional team supporting banking processes across the Pan-Baltic region.
- Take ownership of technical improvements and independently drive initiatives.
Requirements
- Proven experience with SQL and Python.
- Hands-on experience with AWS, Azure, or GCP cloud platforms.
- Experience with Kubernetes and Docker.
- Strong understanding of streaming data pipelines and Kafka, Spark, or Flink.
- Familiarity with Airflow or dbt.
- Experience with Snowflake, BigQuery, Redshift, or Databricks data warehousing solutions.
- Experience with both SQL and NoSQL databases.
- Knowledge of real-time, message-based, and event-driven integrations.
- Exposure to test automation, DevOps practices, infrastructure as code, and security best practices.
- Experience in the customer business domain is an advantage.
- Ability to take ownership and drive initiatives independently.
- Fluent spoken and written English is required.
