Responsibilities

  • Design, implement, and continuously improve systems for data ingestion, processing, storage, and sharing.
  • Build and optimize scalable, high-performance data architectures and ETL/ELT pipelines.
  • Integrate systems and synchronize data across domains using real-time, message-based, and event-driven approaches.
  • Maintain data quality, security, availability, and performance standards.
  • Collaborate with analysts, software engineers, and business stakeholders to understand data needs and deliver solutions.
  • Perform code reviews, troubleshoot software, and fix defects.
  • Implement monitoring and alerting for data workflows.
  • Work in a cross-functional team supporting banking processes across the Pan-Baltic region.
  • Take ownership of technical improvements and independently drive initiatives.

Requirements

  • Proven experience with SQL and Python.
  • Hands-on experience with AWS, Azure, or GCP cloud platforms.
  • Experience with Kubernetes and Docker.
  • Strong understanding of streaming data pipelines and Kafka, Spark, or Flink.
  • Familiarity with Airflow or dbt.
  • Experience with Snowflake, BigQuery, Redshift, or Databricks data warehousing solutions.
  • Experience with both SQL and NoSQL databases.
  • Knowledge of real-time, message-based, and event-driven integrations.
  • Exposure to test automation, DevOps practices, infrastructure as code, and security best practices.
  • Experience in the customer business domain is an advantage.
  • Ability to take ownership and drive initiatives independently.
  • Fluent spoken and written English is required.
