Base Salary
$280k - $320k/yr
Responsibilities
- Serve as a technical advisor for national security mission programs from discovery and evaluation through deployment and adoption.
- Support customers building with Claude Code, the Claude API, and Claude for Enterprise.
- Translate mission requirements into technical solutions with account executives and Applied AI Architects.
- Develop customized pilots, prototypes, evaluation suites, and technical architecture recommendations.
- Develop evaluation frameworks for mission-specific Claude use cases.
- Lead customer workshops and code reviews, create technical content, and deliver executive briefings.
- Share common design patterns and customer insights with Product and Engineering teams.
- Work primarily on-site with customer engineering and mission teams in secure government facilities.
Requirements
- Active TS/SCI clearance with Polygraph.
- Prior experience as a US intelligence-community government civilian or cleared contractor.
- At least 4 years of experience in technical roles such as Forward Deployed Engineer, Product Engineer, Software Engineer, or Technical Product Manager.
- Strong programming skills in Python or TypeScript and experience building production applications.
- Hands-on expertise in offensive or defensive cyber operations, cryptography, intelligence analysis and ISR, mission and weapons systems, CBRN and nonproliferation, or classified-system accreditation.
- Exceptional communication and collaboration skills across engineering and executive stakeholders.
- Preferred: production LLM experience, including prompt engineering, agent development, evaluation frameworks, transcript analysis, MCP, and deployment at scale.
- Preferred: experience with air-gapped or classified environments, scalable cloud architectures, enterprise integrations, or artificial intelligence, machine learning, and data science.
- Bachelor’s degree or equivalent combination of education, training, and/or experience in a relevant field.
Benefits
- Annual salary range of $280,000–$320,000 USD.
- Visa sponsorship is offered, with reasonable efforts made if an offer is extended, although sponsorship cannot be successfully provided for every role or candidate.
- Staff are generally expected to be in an Anthropic office at least 25% of the time, while this role may require more time on-site with customers.
