Responsibilities
- Lead DevOps, platform engineering, SRE, AIOps, observability, monitoring, and reliability initiatives across engineering teams.
- Design scalable platform engineering solutions, CI/CD workflows, Infrastructure as Code automation, and GitOps-based deployment practices.
- Define and implement SLIs, SLOs, error budgets, reliability governance, system health metrics, and performance monitoring.
- Develop AIOps capabilities for predictive monitoring, anomaly detection, event correlation, automated root cause analysis, and intelligent alerting.
- Architect observability frameworks for metrics, logs, traces, events, telemetry collection, and distributed tracing.
- Lead incident response, on-call readiness, root cause analysis, postmortems, runbooks, playbooks, and automated escalations.
- Build self-healing systems and automated remediation workflows to reduce operational toil and mean time to resolution.
- Develop internal observability and performance optimization platforms and integrate reliability checks into CI/CD pipelines.
- Partner with engineering, platform, and product teams, lead design reviews, influence enterprise architecture, and mentor engineers.
Requirements
- At least 5 years of experience in software engineering, SRE, or production engineering for large-scale distributed systems.
- Hands-on experience with observability tools such as AppDynamics, Grafana, Prometheus, Datadog, or OpenTelemetry.
- Experience with AIOps or intelligent monitoring platforms, anomaly detection, and event correlation.
- Strong expertise with AWS, Azure, or GCP; Kubernetes, containers, and microservices; and CI/CD pipelines using tools such as GitHub Actions or Jenkins.
- Proficiency in at least one programming language such as Python, Java, or Go.
- Strong understanding of distributed systems, resiliency patterns, and fault tolerance.
- Experience implementing incident management, on-call processes, and root cause analysis.
- Hands-on expertise with Infrastructure as Code tools including Terraform, ARM, or CloudFormation.
- Experience with GenAI and automation tools or frameworks such as OpenAI, CoPilot, Gemini, Claude, or MCP.
- Experience designing scalable, reliable, and observable systems.
- Preferred qualifications include AIOps platform or predictive reliability experience, machine learning applications in IT operations, large-scale SLI/SLO and error-budget management, OpenTelemetry, chaos engineering, resilience testing, fault injection, GenAI-driven operations, regulated-industry experience, cross-functional technical leadership, and relevant open-source contributions.
- Bachelor’s degree or equivalent work experience in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related discipline; relevant AIOps, SRE, OpenTelemetry, cloud, or DevOps certifications are a plus.
Benefits
- Typical pay range is €65,000.00–€165,000.00.
