Responsibilities
- Serve as the primary technical leader for the team’s architecture.
- Design and implement robust end-to-end solutions spanning mobile applications, APIs, backend systems, and data models.
- Deliver TrueMotion-driven features and address complex mobile and full-stack engineering challenges.
- Audit and improve system scaling, performance, monitoring, logging, and error tracking.
- Use Datadog and Sentry to strengthen full-stack observability.
- Lead architectural discussions and execute significant quarterly improvements to workflows, tooling, or architecture.
- Mentor engineers and promote technical excellence through code reviews, design discussions, and knowledge sharing.
- Collaborate with product managers, designers, data scientists, and computer vision scientists.
Requirements
- 8+ years of professional software engineering experience.
- 3+ years of experience building and shipping mobile applications.
- 3+ years of experience with backend technologies such as TypeScript, Node.js, NestJS, or GraphQL.
- 2+ years of experience with cloud platforms and containerization tools such as AWS, Docker, and Kubernetes.
- Experience with distributed systems and microservices architectures.
- Hands-on experience with generative AI tools for development workflows, code quality, and debugging.
- Preferred experience building mobile applications with React Native.
- Preferred experience with event-driven architectures and Apache Kafka.
- Preferred proficiency with Datadog and Sentry.
- Strong understanding of system design, mobile application architecture, and CI/CD pipelines.
- Experience with computer-vision-driven user experiences on mobile platforms.
- Track record of mentoring engineers and leading cross-team architectural discussions.
- English and French proficiency is an asset.
