Base Salary
$80k - $180k/yr
Responsibilities
- Develop, test, deploy, maintain, and refactor production software.
- Create functional and destructive test suites to support rapid, reliable deployments.
- Design APIs and scalable backend services for high-volume enterprise transaction systems.
- Support event-driven architectures, real-time data processing, and large-scale data environments.
- Collaborate with product teams to make user stories valuable, developer-ready, understandable, and testable.
- Participate in product and tool selection, configuration, security, resilience, performance tuning, and production monitoring.
- Lead technical discussions and workstreams while tracking delivery commitments and multiple initiatives.
- Mentor junior engineers and provide guidance on modern software development frameworks.
Requirements
- At least 3 years of work experience.
- Bachelor's degree or equivalent degree in a related field.
- Must be at least 18 years old and legally permitted to work in the United States.
- Experience building and supporting high-volume, enterprise-scale backend applications processing financial transaction data.
- Experience designing APIs from scratch and building scalable microservices architectures.
- Hands-on experience with Java, Kafka, Pub/Sub, Elasticsearch, Google Cloud Platform, and BigQuery.
- Experience supporting large-scale data environments with millions of daily transactions and multi-billion-record datasets.
- Experience leading small engineering teams or technical workstreams and delivering assigned modules and features.
- Strong leadership, mentoring, stakeholder collaboration, and delivery accountability skills.
- Experience with large enterprise organizations, highly distributed systems, mission-critical applications, event-driven architectures, real-time data processing, and high-throughput transaction platforms.
