Responsibilities
- Assess .NET, C#, and MVC applications and define rehosting, refactoring, re-architecting, or replacement strategies.
- Design and guide AWS cloud foundations, including networking, environments, security, observability, CI/CD, performance testing, and rollback procedures.
- Lead migration from .NET code paths to Java-based services while maintaining correctness and availability.
- Define interoperability approaches using API contracts, adapters, strangler patterns, feature toggles, and compatibility layers.
- Set standards for clean code, code reviews, test automation, branching, releases, and environment promotion.
- Drive unit, contract, integration, regression, and end-to-end testing and improve build and release reliability.
- Embed secure coding, dependency hygiene, secrets management, least-privilege access, auditability, and technical risk mitigation.
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or Engineering, or demonstrated equivalent work experience.
- 5–7 years of IT experience in application development and support.
- Strong experience with Java, J2EE, JMS, Spring Framework, Microsoft .NET C#, and .NET C# MVC web applications.
- Strong experience with Advanced SQL, T-SQL, and PL/SQL programming.
- Basic networking knowledge and Unix scripting experience.
- At least 1–2 years of experience in at least three specified areas, including Python, Scala, React, infrastructure/CI/CD/DevOps, big data, AWS Cloud, microservices, HDFS, Ansible, Fortify, Jenkins, QA automation, or vulnerability remediation.
- Good understanding of AWS services including EC2, EMR, Lambda, S3, and Glue.
- Preferred experience with large datasets and financial asset classes such as Equity, Commodities, Forex, Futures, and Options.
- Preferred experience with index or benchmark platforms, asset management, or trading platforms.
- Basic knowledge of UI design and development using JQuery, HTML5, and CSS.
