Responsibilities
- Produce API and interface documentation and specifications.
- Plan, develop, organize, build, and test service and API integration services.
- Design and develop end-to-end microservices based on business requirements.
- Participate in peer reviews and write test cases for API quality.
- Analyze and troubleshoot technical issues and provide solutions.
- Work with business analysts and technical leads to understand requirements and provide technical solutions.
- Contribute to support activities and escalate risks and issues to management.
- Coach developers and exchange solutions with the developer chapter.
- Manage multiple priorities while operating with minimal supervision.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in computer science or computer engineering, or equivalent education/experience.
- At least 8 years of hands-on API development experience.
- At least 8 years of software-engineering experience with Java EE, Java, Spring Boot, Spring Security, JPA/Hibernate, RESTful web services, and microservices.
- Experience with databases including MySQL, Oracle, and PostgreSQL.
- Knowledge of CI/CD tools, Docker, Kubernetes, and Unix.
- Experience with API requirements analysis, design, resource-based API modeling, microservices architecture, API design standards, and API security implementation.
- Experience with JUnit, Mockito, Swagger, Apache Kafka, Apigee, Bitbucket/Git, Kibana, and Dynatrace.
- Strong problem-solving, critical-thinking, communication, troubleshooting, and knowledge-sharing skills.
- Experience with CI/CD, DevOps, and Agile practices.
