Base Salary
$175k - $200k/yr
Responsibilities
- Lead large-scale projects that advance department-level goals and business objectives.
- Drive the technical strategy and 6-to-12-plus-month roadmap for firmware and embedded software platforms.
- Architect scalable and maintainable systems and select technologies and frameworks for team-wide use.
- Debug complex interactions between hardware and software across multiple subsystems and domains.
- Collaborate with electrical and mechanical teams on hardware selection and system design.
- Partner with product managers and designers to define technically feasible, scalable product roadmaps.
- Mentor and develop engineers, attract talent, and maintain a high engineering standard.
Requirements
- Extensive experience shipping code for complex hardware products in consumer, medical, defense, or industrial environments.
- Recognized subject matter expertise in modern embedded software stacks, specifically C or C++.
- Ability to define scope, design, and execution for software features and complete products.
- Experience architecting systems for long-term scalability and maintainability.
- Ability to translate business goals into technical requirements and influence cross-functional roadmaps.
- Experience providing technical leadership and mentoring engineering teams.
