Responsibilities
- Design, develop, and maintain scalable systems for record searching.
- Optimize algorithms and routing systems to improve background check speed and accuracy.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to implement and enhance search functionalities.
- Ensure data integrity and compliance with legal and privacy requirements.
- Participate in architectural discussions and contribute to technical decision-making.
- Mentor junior engineers and promote best practices within the team.
- Troubleshoot complex issues in production environments.
- Work closely with product managers and stakeholders to define and implement new features.
Requirements
- Advanced proficiency in English is mandatory.
- Availability to work in a hybrid model in Santiago, attending the office three days a week.
- Over 5 years of experience in full-stack software development.
- Strong proficiency in at least one of the following languages: Ruby (preferred), Python, or Golang.
- Experience with search algorithms and large-scale data processing.
- Solid understanding of both SQL and NoSQL database systems.
- Familiarity with cloud technologies, preferably AWS.
- Knowledge of security best practices and data privacy concerns.
- Experience with microservices architecture and RESTful APIs.
- Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
- Excellent communication skills and ability to work collaboratively.
- A proactive mindset with a strong bias for action.
