Responsibilities

  • Design, develop, and maintain scalable systems for record searching.
  • Optimize algorithms and routing systems to improve background check speed and accuracy.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to implement and enhance search functionalities.
  • Ensure data integrity and compliance with legal and privacy requirements.
  • Participate in architectural discussions and contribute to technical decision-making.
  • Mentor junior engineers and promote best practices within the team.
  • Troubleshoot complex issues in production environments.
  • Work closely with product managers and stakeholders to define and implement new features.

Requirements

  • Advanced proficiency in English is mandatory.
  • Availability to work in a hybrid model in Santiago, attending the office three days a week.
  • Over 5 years of experience in full-stack software development.
  • Strong proficiency in at least one of the following languages: Ruby (preferred), Python, or Golang.
  • Experience with search algorithms and large-scale data processing.
  • Solid understanding of both SQL and NoSQL database systems.
  • Familiarity with cloud technologies, preferably AWS.
  • Knowledge of security best practices and data privacy concerns.
  • Experience with microservices architecture and RESTful APIs.
  • Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
  • Excellent communication skills and ability to work collaboratively.
  • A proactive mindset with a strong bias for action.
