Responsibilities
- Learn about ATS systems and international laws governing background checks.
- Serve internal teams at Checkr as primary clients for product evaluations.
- Unify code and user experience across Checkr's evaluation products.
- Collaborate with Staff Engineers and leadership to design effective solutions.
- Communicate with developers to enhance productivity through better solutions.
Requirements
- Advanced English proficiency is mandatory for all interviews.
- Availability to work in a hybrid model in Santiago, Chile, attending the office three days a week.
- Over 7 years of experience in full-stack software development.
- Strong sense of ownership over projects.
- Solid experience with Ruby, Python, or Java, and JavaScript (React.js).
- Deep knowledge of computer science fundamentals, including databases and algorithms.
- Familiarity with development best practices like TDD and DDD.
- Experience with microservices and patterns like event sourcing or API Gateways.
- Proactive mindset with a strong bias for action and resilience in ambiguity.
