Responsibilities
- Build and evolve software focusing on platform functionalities for other teams.
- Produce high-quality code to create scalable, efficient, and secure APIs.
- Utilize frontend skills to build effective React.js components.
- Design and improve the system architecture of Checkr's Screening products.
- Collaborate with Staff and Principal engineers to influence technical designs.
- Communicate effectively with engineers relying on your built functionalities.
- Draft clear documentation on interactions with built functionalities and software best practices.
- Implement CI/CD pipeline steps and manage version control with Git.
- Mentor and guide other developers within the Engineering organization.
- Help identify and resolve complex bugs.
Requirements
- Advanced English proficiency (written and spoken).
- 6+ years of experience in full-stack software development.
- Proficiency in Ruby, JavaScript (React.js), HTML, CSS, HTTP protocols, and Regex.
- Solid understanding of computer science fundamentals, including relational databases, data structures, and algorithms.
- Strong development practices using TDD, DDD, and functional or object-oriented programming.
- Availability to work hybrid 3x2 in Santiago.
