Responsibilities
- Develop and modify application projects for Copart’s global expansion.
- Build efficient and secure applications using multithreading and real-time web application technologies.
- Peer-review code and document business logic flows, technical solutions, and other engineering work.
- Collaborate with Program Managers, Business Analysts, Team Leads, infrastructure, security, and quality assurance teams.
- Write unit tests and continuously improve engineering processes and software quality.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree or higher in computer science, engineering, or a similar field.
- Strong experience with Spring Boot, MVC, other Spring modules, Core Java, and multithreaded programming.
- Experience writing unit tests with JUnit and mocking frameworks.
- Experience with JavaScript, HTML5, jQuery, AJAX, CSS, and JavaScript libraries.
- Knowledge of at least one client-side MVC JavaScript framework, preferably Angular.
- Familiarity with LLMs and agentic coding tools such as Claude Code.
- Understanding of n-tier architecture and development methodologies, along with strong problem-solving skills.
- Preferred experience with Unix, Linux, Solaris, Apache, Tomcat, SQL, stored procedures, DB2, MySQL, Maria, Maven, Jenkins, and Git.
- Ability to communicate technical concepts, document solutions, learn new technologies quickly, and work effectively in a fast-paced client-focused environment.
