Responsibilities

  • Partner with management teams to integrate functions, identify system enhancements, and support new products and process improvements.
  • Analyze complex business processes, system processes, and industry standards to resolve high-impact problems and projects.
  • Design and develop application systems while ensuring alignment with the overall architecture blueprint.
  • Establish coding, testing, debugging, and implementation standards using advanced knowledge of system flow.
  • Provide in-depth analysis, define issues, and develop innovative solutions.
  • Serve as a subject matter expert and coach to mid-level developers and analysts, allocating work as needed.
  • Assess and manage risk, support regulatory compliance, and escalate and report control issues transparently.

Requirements

  • 8–10 years of relevant experience in applications development or systems analysis.
  • Experience with Q/KDB+ programming and willingness to learn or expand Q/KDB+ programming capabilities.
  • Extensive experience in systems analysis and software application programming.
  • Experience managing and implementing successful projects.
  • Subject matter expertise in at least one area of applications development.
  • Demonstrated leadership and project management skills, with the ability to adjust priorities quickly.
  • Clear and concise written and verbal communication skills.
  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience.
  • Python programming experience is preferred.
  • Strong understanding of the software development lifecycle and Unix scripting is preferred.
