Responsibilities
- Design, code, test, debug, install, document, and maintain complex software applications.
- Analyze user objectives, scope, and requirements and translate design specifications into maintainable, scalable, and performant programs.
- Develop application integrations, APIs, test data, and testing routines, and troubleshoot reported software issues.
- Prepare developer and end-user documentation and ensure applications meet internal and external standards.
- Review and validate other programmers’ code for adherence to best practices and standards.
- Provide technical direction, mentorship, training, and project leadership to less experienced programmers and users.
- Follow procedures for application security and data integrity and stay current with frameworks and emerging technologies.
- Work a flexible schedule that may occasionally include evening or weekend hours and pass pre-employment background and credit checks.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or a related field, or equivalent combined education and work experience.
- At least 3 years of experience is required by the minimum experience section; the role description specifies 2–5 years of experience with Jack Henry Symitar and PowerOn.
- Proficiency in one or more programming languages, including C#, Java, Python, or SQL.
- Knowledge of programming and documentation procedures, software design methodologies, data management, application integration, API development, and database systems.
- Familiarity with version control systems and secure coding practices.
- Ability to work independently on complex programming activities and lead projects while mentoring junior developers.
- Strong analytical, problem-solving, communication, and technical documentation skills.
- Must pass a pre-employment background and credit check.
