Base Salary
$190k - $250k/yr
Responsibilities
- Build configurable AI agents that review content against customer policies.
- Develop nodes and features for the Restate durable workflow engine supporting moderation pipelines, NCMEC reporting, and enforcement actions.
- Build review queue features including QA decision overrides, attribute-level labeling, forms, and skills-based routing.
- Develop analytics and metrics dashboards using a React frontend backed by a Django/GraphQL API.
- Build Salesforce and Zendesk integrations for two-way moderator-to-user communications and conversation history.
- Improve reliability, define SLIs, increase pipeline throughput, and participate in on-call ownership.
- Own features end to end across data models, APIs, backend systems, and user interfaces.
- Participate in customer demos, gather feedback, and influence product direction and engineering culture.
Requirements
- 5+ years of experience building production software across the stack.
- Experience with Django or similar backend frameworks, React or similar frontend technologies, relational databases, and message or event systems.
- Ability to identify customer problems and build end-to-end solutions independently.
- Experience with high-throughput, data-intensive systems and reasoning about pipeline throughput, latency, and scale tradeoffs.
- Strong understanding of backend design and end-to-end ownership from data model through API through UI.
- Fluency with AI coding tools and a thoughtful perspective on how they affect software development.
- Clear written communication for pull requests, Slack, and customer-facing documentation.
- Experience in trust and safety or abuse prevention is preferred.
- Startup or early-stage company experience is preferred.
- Familiarity with workflow or automation systems, policy engines, or case management tools is preferred.
- Experience working directly with enterprise customers or in a customer-facing engineering role is preferred.
