Responsibilities
- Champion data quality across enterprise data platforms.
- Partner with delivery squads to shape data-testing approaches early.
- Test ETL/ELT pipelines and validate large, complex datasets.
- Write and execute SQL and other query scripts for data validation.
- Contribute to automated data testing, reconciliation, and integration coverage.
- Support performance and scalability testing during peak data volumes.
- Identify, manage, and communicate data defects and risks.
- Improve testing tools, techniques, and approaches while sharing knowledge with the QA community.
Requirements
- Strong data-testing experience and SQL skills.
- Experience validating ETL/ELT pipelines in data warehouse environments.
- Scripting or programming experience with languages such as Python, R, Java, C#, or Ruby.
- Familiarity with modern data platforms such as BigQuery, Databricks, Snowflake, Fabric, Synapse, or Redshift.
- Experience with API testing and test-management tools.
- Comfort working in Agile delivery environments and contributing to continuous improvement.
- Performance or load-testing experience is advantageous.
- Experience with Power BI, Tableau, or other data-visualization tools is advantageous.
- Experience with QuerySurge, iCEDQ, dbt, Great Expectations, or PyTest is advantageous.
- FMCG, retail, or wholesale experience is advantageous.
