Base Salary
$131k - $192k/yr
Responsibilities
- Build self-serve tools, APIs, and workflows for deploying, configuring, validating, and operating machine learning models.
- Integrate open-source inference frameworks and models into reliable, efficient production services.
- Improve request routing, online feature retrieval, model execution, and disaggregated serving components at large scale.
- Improve Kubernetes deployment, autoscaling, and CPU/GPU resource efficiency while meeting latency and availability requirements.
- Build adoption, validation, migration, and rollout tooling for new serving capabilities and the unified global platform.
- Use benchmarking, profiling, metrics, and tracing to identify bottlenecks and improve production performance, reliability, and cost.
- Participate in on-call support and improve automation and runbooks.
- Own defined projects from technical design through implementation, testing, rollout, and production support.
Requirements
- At least 2 years of software engineering experience building and maintaining production services or infrastructure.
- Strong computer science fundamentals and proficiency in a backend or systems programming language such as Java, Kotlin, Go, C++, or Python.
- Understanding of distributed systems fundamentals, including concurrency, networking, timeouts, failure handling, and performance trade-offs.
- Ability to independently turn defined problems into technical designs, tested implementations, and safe production rollouts.
- Experience debugging production systems and using operational data to improve reliability, performance, or cost.
- Ability to collaborate with internal platform customers and partners to make complex infrastructure easier to adopt.
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or a related field, or equivalent practical experience.
- Preferred experience includes ML inference infrastructure, online feature retrieval, latency-sensitive distributed services, Kubernetes operations, self-serve developer platforms, open-source infrastructure or models, and CPU/GPU performance profiling.
