Responsibilities

  • Lead development teams on assigned projects and coordinate developer activities to meet delivery dates.
  • Analyze business requirements and establish project estimates with technical resources.
  • Coordinate system design, development, deployment, code review, integration, and support.
  • Design efficient applications that meet corporate quality standards and support application availability and maintenance.
  • Review and improve development processes and methodologies.
  • Provide technical coaching and mentoring to team members.
  • Work with application and development managers to ensure continuous application support.

Requirements

  • University degree, preferably in Computer Science, or equivalent work experience.
  • 7+ years of progressive IT experience.
  • At least 5 years of hands-on experience with relational database technologies.
  • At least 5 years of experience developing web applications with Java and Angular frameworks.
  • Strong expertise in Java, TypeScript, Angular, HTML, and CSS.
  • Experience designing and developing applications in the mutual fund, investment management, or financial services industry.
  • Strong understanding of the full Software Development Life Cycle, including analysis, design, development, testing, deployment, and support.
  • Hands-on experience developing and integrating RESTful APIs and enterprise services.
  • Strong communication, organizational, planning, prioritization, analytical, problem-solving, leadership, and influencing skills.
  • Current work authorization for Canada is required.
