Responsibilities
- Design, develop, test, deploy, and maintain scalable secure enterprise software, APIs, microservices, and services.
- Design cloud-native software architectures and contribute to architecture decisions across the technology stack.
- Deploy containerized applications, support CI/CD, modernize legacy systems, and develop automation tools.
- Apply source control, automated testing, code review, documentation, and secure software development standards.
- Support monitoring, troubleshooting, and operational sustainment of production systems.
- Build and integrate generative AI, LLM, RAG, and agentic workflow capabilities into production systems using approved AI platforms.
- Evaluate emerging AI and automation technologies and support their practical adoption.
- Translate operational requirements into production-ready software while collaborating with analysts, stakeholders, engineers, AI specialists, mission experts, and government partners.
- Build forecasting, modeling, analytics, optimization, and decision-support tools for logistics, sustainment, supply chain, and mission operations.
- Provide technical leadership and mentorship and help shape engineering standards.
Requirements
- U.S. citizenship and an active Secret Security Clearance are required.
- A master's or doctorate in a related technical field plus 10 years of relevant professional experience, or a bachelor's degree plus 12 years, or 15 years of directly related professional experience is required.
- At least 5 years of DoD support experience is required for the master's/doctorate or bachelor's pathways; the experience-only pathway requires at least 8 years supporting DoD.
- Significant professional experience in software engineering, application development, systems engineering, automation, or related technical disciplines is required.
- Recent hands-on production development experience with one or more modern programming languages such as Python, Java, C#, or JavaScript/TypeScript is required.
- Experience designing, developing, testing, deploying, and maintaining enterprise applications and services is required.
- Experience with APIs, distributed systems, microservices, service-oriented architectures, software architecture, object-oriented design, and software development lifecycle practices is required.
- Experience developing and deploying containerized or cloud-native applications in AWS, Azure, or GCP is required.
- Experience integrating enterprise systems and developing mission-focused software solutions is required.
- Strong problem-solving, communication, technical writing, and collaboration skills are required.
- Preferred qualifications include experience with F-35, Air Force, Navy, JPO, or other major DoD acquisition programs; generative AI, LLMs, RAG, prompt engineering, AI application development, agentic AI frameworks, orchestration platforms, intelligent automation, analytics, forecasting, optimization, and decision-support systems.
- An active Top Secret clearance is preferred.
