Responsibilities
- Design, build, test, operate, and continuously improve platform engineering solutions.
- Own technical problems end-to-end and collaborate with stakeholders and engineering teams to deliver scalable, reliable systems.
- Contribute to product and platform roadmaps with attention to performance, reliability, observability, operability, and testability.
- Perform root cause analysis, incident investigation, troubleshooting, and continuous improvement.
- Diagnose and resolve issues across internal systems and downstream dependencies.
- Develop software, CLI tools, build systems, CI/CD pipelines, and infrastructure-as-code solutions.
- Participate in technical discussions, follow engineering standards, and improve processes and tooling through collaboration.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related field, or equivalent practical experience.
- At least 3 years of professional software engineering experience.
- Experience developing software in Linux or macOS environments.
- Proficiency in at least one modern programming language, preferably Golang.
- Strong understanding of data structures, algorithms, system design, distributed systems, and modern software architectures.
- Experience with Git-based source control workflows such as GitHub or GitLab.
- Exposure to Docker, Kubernetes, and cloud platforms, preferably Google Cloud Platform.
- Preferred qualifications include Golang application or tooling development, GraphQL API experience, distributed-systems operations, platform engineering, GitOps, CI/CD, OCI artifacts, test infrastructure, build systems, infrastructure as code, developer productivity tooling, and open-source contributions.
- Stand-out qualifications include Bazel or large-scale build-system experience, AI application development with LLM platforms, CLI and developer-workflow development, Kubernetes Custom Resource Definitions and controllers, and troubleshooting large distributed systems.
- Strong analytical, problem-solving, communication, prioritization, teamwork, and continuous-learning abilities.
