Responsibilities
- Automate and optimize service deployments and maintain distributed platform services.
- Build, architect, administer, and improve on-premises and cloud infrastructure across development, staging, test, and production environments.
- Manage containers, autoscaling, server logs, system monitoring, performance analysis, and operational incidents.
- Maintain build and deployment processes, configuration management, software revisions, security patches, hardening, and technical documentation.
- Integrate enterprise authentication services and enforce access control, vulnerability testing, security, and reliability practices.
- Manage operational readiness activities, validate engineering task completion, and track recurring maintenance work.
- Participate in SAFe and Scrum development teams and provide required on-call support.
Requirements
- U.S. citizenship and an active TS/SCI clearance with the ability to obtain a CI polygraph.
- A degree in a relevant area and 8+ years of relevant experience; additional years of experience may offset the degree requirement.
- Experience with container images and platforms including Kubernetes, Docker, or OpenShift.
- Understanding of DevOps and software/application development processes, GitLab or other continuous integration tools, and microservice architecture patterns.
- Understanding of Python, Bash, and shell scripting.
- Knowledge of network technologies, infrastructure components, load balancers, firewalls, and virtual and physical infrastructure design.
- Experience deploying on-premises infrastructure, plus strong troubleshooting, communication, time management, and independent work skills.
- Preferred experience with Kubernetes deployment processes using GitLab and Helm, access management and security groups, unit and functional testing, Jira, and Confluence.
