Responsibilities
- Own feature areas from requirements and architecture through implementation, testing, deployment, and iteration.
- Ship ML/computer vision capabilities alongside full-stack interfaces, backend services, and infrastructure.
- Define scope, make architectural decisions, write and review code, deploy changes, and own production outcomes.
- Use AI coding tools while validating generated code for correctness, security, and maintainability.
- Coordinate milestones, dependencies, decisions, and blockers across international teams through asynchronous communication.
- Lead design and code reviews, unblock engineers, and establish standards for testing, observability, and production reliability.
- Contribute to the Ultralytics open-source ecosystem through maintainable code, technical documentation, and knowledge-sharing.
Requirements
- Senior-to-principal or distinguished-level industry delivery experience with sustained ownership of feature areas and technical-lead accountability.
- Practical Python and PyTorch proficiency beyond coursework or research, with shipped ML/AI and computer vision work.
- Full-stack capability spanning user interfaces, APIs, databases, cloud infrastructure, deployment, and production operations.
- Current experience with AI-assisted development and strong judgment for reviewing generated code.
- Strong asynchronous communication, work breakdown, and deadline-delivery skills within structured teams.
- A degree is not required, but essential industry experience is required.
- Preferred experience includes TypeScript, React, FastAPI, PostgreSQL, Docker, infrastructure as code, cloud platforms, model serving, GPU optimization, inference monitoring, edge deployment, and open-source contributions.
