Base Salary
$148k - $260k/yr
Responsibilities
- Design and implement scalable data pipelines using real-world driving data and Waabi World for deep-learning model training and evaluation.
- Optimize data formats, caching, and dataloading for efficient ML training and evaluation at scale.
- Improve data sampling and dataset composition to support data introspection, model-performance tracking, and edge-case discovery.
- Write high-quality, well-structured, rigorously tested code and promote engineering excellence.
- Help drive project roadmap planning, prioritization, and delivery.
- Mentor others and collaborate with scientists and engineers on autonomous-technology challenges.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s or master’s degree in Computer Science, Machine Learning, or a related technical field.
- At least 4 years of industry experience.
- Proficiency in Python and strong software engineering fundamentals.
- Experience with deep-learning frameworks such as PyTorch, TensorFlow, or JAX.
- Hands-on experience building distributed ETL and data-processing pipelines.
- Direct experience managing ML pipelines, including dataset management, dataloading, and optimization.
- Strong understanding of cloud job orchestration, monitoring, and instrumentation best practices.
- Preferred experience optimizing large-scale distributed training or highly optimized ML inference pipelines.
- Preferred experience with MapReduce, Apache Hadoop, Apache Spark, Apache Airflow, Apache Beam, Google Cloud Dataflow, or AWS Step Functions.
- Preferred experience with autonomous-driving data, linear algebra, 3D geometry, and multimodal sensor data such as LiDAR, RADAR, and camera data.
- Collaborative, open-minded approach with a willingness to tackle complex problems and mentor others.
