Responsibilities
- Lead embedded software development activities across requirements analysis, architecture, implementation, integration, testing, and release.
- Define, configure, and further develop AUTOSAR Classic-based software architecture for electronic Smart Leveling Systems.
- Develop and review Embedded C software for microcontroller-based systems.
- Analyze customer and system requirements and derive software requirements and architectural concepts.
- Define and coordinate interfaces between software, electronics, and system components.
- Coordinate software integration, debugging, testing, root cause analysis, and resolution of complex technical issues.
- Coordinate external development partners and distributed engineering teams.
- Contribute to embedded systems strategy and continuous improvement of development processes.
Requirements
- Degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Science, Automotive Engineering, or a comparable field.
- Profound professional experience in requirements engineering and automotive embedded software development.
- Strong practical knowledge of AUTOSAR Classic architectures and relevant components.
- Programming skills in Embedded C, with understanding of microcontrollers and operating systems.
- Knowledge of automotive communication and diagnostic protocols such as CAN.
- Experience with software integration, embedded debugging, root cause analysis, and requirements-based testing.
- Experience with tools such as CANoe is desirable.
- Familiarity with ASPICE and ISO 26262.
- Ability to coordinate complex technical topics across teams, partners, and stakeholders while remaining involved in engineering decisions.
- Very good English language skills at minimum C1 level; German language skills are a plus.
