Responsibilities
- Define and drive the IoT/OT domain architecture and roadmap for unified sensor-to-cloud communication.
- Establish common communication protocols and integration standards across product lines.
- Design data ontologies and semantic models to enable interoperability and consistent data usage.
- Develop and validate proof-of-concepts and lighthouse projects.
- Collaborate with R&D, product management, IT, and cybersecurity teams to drive alignment and adoption.
- Evaluate emerging IoT/OT technologies and industry standards and contribute to architectural decisions.
Requirements
- Strong experience in IoT/OT architecture and device-to-cloud solution design in industrial, building automation, or similar environments.
- Hands-on knowledge of MQTT, RS485, Modbus TCP, and BACnet; Sparkplug experience is a plus.
- Experience with data ontologies and semantic modeling frameworks such as Google Digital Buildings, Project Haystack, or Brick Schema.
- Ability to develop proof-of-concepts, configure systems, and troubleshoot integration challenges.
- Strong stakeholder management and communication skills across complex international organizations.
- Experience with edge computing, cloud IoT platforms, or HVAC/refrigeration systems is advantageous.
