Responsibilities
- Operate and improve cloud infrastructure, Kubernetes/container platforms, CI/CD systems, and production environments hands-on.
- Define and report on SLIs, SLOs, and SLAs, manage error budgets, and use reliability metrics to guide engineering and release decisions.
- Lead reliability, scalability, performance, capacity planning, and resource management initiatives for critical systems.
- Manage incident response, troubleshooting, root cause analysis, on-call participation, and prevention of recurring incidents.
- Develop monitoring, alerting, automation, and AI-assisted operational tooling to reduce toil and improve resolution speed.
- Drive cloud and platform cost optimization, including rightsizing and FinOps practices.
- Collaborate with development, operations, and product teams to improve application performance and infrastructure.
- Mentor junior SREs and maintain documentation for incidents, system configurations, and operational processes.
Requirements
- Hands-on experience operating cloud infrastructure, Kubernetes/container platforms, CI/CD systems, monitoring, automation, and production services.
- Experience defining and managing SLIs, SLOs, SLAs, error budgets, incident response, troubleshooting, and root cause analysis.
- Ability to lead reliability, scalability, performance, capacity planning, and cloud cost optimization initiatives.
- Ability to mentor engineers and provide leadership during critical incidents while remaining technically hands-on.
- Interest in adopting automation, AI-driven engineering tooling, and industry best practices for operational reliability.
