Base Salary

$146k - $234k/yr

Responsibilities

  • Deploy, automate, configure, integrate, and troubleshoot complex Linux, networking, virtualization, and cloud-native environments.
  • Support 4G/5G telecom testbeds, including core network, RAN, IMS, BBU, and related network components.
  • Build and maintain containerized and cloud-native environments using Docker, Kubernetes, and Helm.
  • Develop scripts and automation for provisioning, configuration management, testing, deployment, and research operations.
  • Support CI/CD pipelines, automated testing, version-control workflows, and repeatable deployment processes.
  • Configure and troubleshoot routers, switches, VLANs, DNS/DHCP, NAT, firewalls, and segmented laboratory networks.
  • Support virtualization and cluster environments using Proxmox, OpenStack, VMware, or similar platforms.
  • Integrate software applications, network services, telecom components, and research prototypes into multi-system environments.
  • Document configurations, deployment procedures, troubleshooting steps, and operational runbooks.
  • Oversee one or more software development teams and coordinate with system engineers, hardware engineers, government teams, and subcontractors.

Requirements

  • A minimum of 14 years of relevant experience with a BS/BA, 12 years with an MS/MA, or 9 years with a Ph.D.; candidates without a bachelor's degree require an additional four years of experience.
  • Strong Linux systems experience and the ability to program or script in Python, Bash, C/C++, Java, Go, or similar languages.
  • Experience with DevOps, systems engineering, infrastructure automation, network engineering, or platform engineering.
  • Experience with containers such as Docker, Podman, or Kubernetes-based environments.
  • Understanding of TCP/IP, routing, switching, VLANs, DNS, DHCP, NAT, and firewalls.
  • Experience troubleshooting complex software, system, network, or infrastructure issues and supporting hands-on lab, prototype, test, or operational environments.
  • U.S. citizenship.
  • Active Top Secret security clearance with the ability to obtain TS/SCI with polygraph security clearance.
  • Preferred experience with 4G/5G telecom equipment and platforms, Kubernetes tooling, CI/CD, automation, virtualization or private cloud, hardware clusters, cyber ranges, telecom labs, SDR platforms, monitoring and logging, testing, secure system design, and classified government environments.
