Base Salary
$163k - $204k/yr
Responsibilities
- Design, build, and test Gusto core products such as Payroll, Benefits, and HR.
- Mentor other engineers to solve complex technical problems.
- Help scale one of the largest Ruby/Rails and Javascript/React applications.
- Collaborate with Product Management, Data, Design, and Platform Engineering teams.
- Prototype, iterate, and launch solutions based on customer feedback.
- Build products that customers genuinely love.
Requirements
- 8+ years of software development experience.
- Experience building scalable solutions that eliminate customer pain.
- Passion for creating memorable customer experiences.
- Experience leveraging AI tools to enhance development and testing.
- Curiosity and experimentation with emerging AI frameworks.
- Experience owning multi-quarter projects with measurable customer impact.
- Ability to mentor engineers to maximize their performance.
