Responsibilities

  • Lead modernization of fraud rules and engine platforms, including large-scale migrations.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to identify requirements, solutions, and architectural direction.
  • Ensure implementations align with architecture, standards, policies, security, compliance, and business needs.
  • Lead early-stage software development projects, including proofs of concept and pilots.
  • Scope, size, prioritize, plan, and estimate projects.
  • Mentor development teams and promote engineering best practices.
  • Build and operate scalable, global, high-throughput and low-latency platforms with five-nines availability.
  • Design, implement, document, and improve secure distributed systems, including performance tuning, failure design, and automation.

Requirements

  • At least eight years of software development and software or microservices architecture experience.
  • Bachelor’s degree in information technology or computer science, or extensive work experience.
  • Ability to write high-quality, secure code in multiple languages, including Java, Python, and Go.
  • Expert knowledge of software development processes and experience with at least one application lifecycle management tool.
  • Experience with fraud-rule engines, large-scale migrations, scalable distributed systems, relational and NoSQL databases, and loosely coupled stateless systems.
  • Hands-on experience with design patterns, multiple programming languages and frameworks, declarative paradigms, and functional programming.
  • Familiarity with generative AI and LLM technologies relevant to fraud rules, DevOps and IT operations practices, and application and system security.
  • Demonstrated technical leadership, mentoring, talent development, communication, decision-making, documentation, and cross-functional collaboration skills.
  • Financial-domain experience is required or emphasized, with banking-domain experience preferred.
