Responsibilities
- Make technical decisions for the squad’s shipped work and own those decisions in production.
- Build and ship features across the frontend and backend stack, working deeply in one area while remaining capable across the full stack.
- Operate systems used by real customers and take responsibility for production outcomes.
- Review teammates’ code and help other engineers improve.
- Collaborate with a product manager, designer, and engineers in an autonomous squad.
Requirements
- 5+ years of professional software engineering experience.
- Experience owning at least one system end to end.
- Experience shipping and operating production systems relied on by real users.
- Daily use of AI coding tools such as Claude Code, Cursor, or similar, with the ability to identify and correct their mistakes.
- Regular code review experience that helps other engineers improve.
- Fluent written and spoken English; Italian is a plus.
- Ability to learn unfamiliar parts of the stack quickly; candidates may be stronger in either backend or frontend engineering.
