Base Salary
$79k - $210k/yr
Responsibilities
- Design, implement, and optimize scalable distributed-system components and data-plane capabilities.
- Build fault-tolerant systems with redundancy, replication, automatic failover, retries, circuit breakers, and timeouts.
- Develop functional, performance, load, fault-injection, and brown-out tests.
- Create alarms, dashboards, telemetry, alerting, runbooks, and operational procedures to monitor and recover services.
- Diagnose and resolve production issues, participate in support rotations, incident response, and root-cause investigations.
- Implement troubleshooting automation, infrastructure-as-code tools, and cloud maintenance workflows.
- Apply encryption, access controls, security remediation, compliance, documentation, and change-management standards.
- Review teammates' implementations for scalability and collaborate across teams to deliver project requirements.
Requirements
- Experience designing and implementing components of distributed systems for scalability, resiliency, availability, and operability.
- Ability to optimize large-scale data processing and implement replication, synchronization, and fault-tolerant mechanisms.
- Experience with performance and load testing, monitoring, alerting, troubleshooting, and incident management.
- Knowledge of cloud infrastructure automation, security controls, compliance requirements, and change-management practices.
- Ability to work independently with minimal supervision, analyze complex issues, and collaborate across teams.
