Backend Software Engineer, Trading Systems & Data Platform

Responsibilities
- Design and build core trading, ledger, and billing systems
- Develop transaction-processing, reconciliation, and portfolio-state-management systems
- Build and scale real-time and batch data pipelines
- Architect APIs and backend services for internal and external use
- Ensure system reliability, observability, and fault tolerance
- Contribute to distributed-systems design involving event-driven systems, microservices, and streaming
- Partner with ML teams to integrate models into production systems as needed
Requirements
- Strong backend or systems engineering experience with distributed systems
- Experience with financial systems, data infrastructure, or scalable backend platforms
- Strong understanding of system design, consistency, and reliability
- Solid programming skills in Python or a similar language
- Experience with modern infrastructure such as Kafka, Kubernetes, and cloud platforms
- Financial primitives such as ledgers, order management, and reconciliation are a strong plus
- Experience with low-latency or high-throughput systems is a strong plus
- Exposure to data platforms or streaming systems is a strong plus
- Familiarity with ML systems is a nice-to-have
