Base Salary
$154k - $217k/yr
Responsibilities
- Conduct security assessments, threat modeling, and code reviews across products and infrastructure.
- Develop scalable security tooling, automation, and detection frameworks.
- Partner with engineering and product teams to integrate security requirements into design and development.
- Investigate security incidents, perform root cause analysis, and drive systemic mitigations.
- Identify security coverage gaps and close them through tooling, policy, or architectural changes.
- Create repeatable vulnerability detection and remediation patterns across the codebase.
- Communicate risk posture and mitigation strategies to engineering leadership.
- Mentor engineers on secure coding, vulnerability classes, and security reviews.
- Independently manage and resolve security incidents with cross-functional partners.
Requirements
- 5+ years of security engineering experience, including vulnerability research, penetration testing, or application and infrastructure security assessments.
- Experience identifying and exploiting memory corruption, injection flaws, authentication bypasses, or privilege escalation vulnerabilities.
- Experience developing security tooling, automation, or detection frameworks using general-purpose programming or scripting languages.
- Experience with threat modeling and security design reviews for large-scale distributed systems or web and mobile applications.
- Experience collaborating with engineering teams and communicating security risks and mitigations.
- Bachelor's or master's degree in computer science or a related field, or equivalent technical security experience.
- Preferred experience with AI workflow tools, responsible AI practices, large-scale social platform security, static or dynamic analysis, security research, and both offensive and defensive security engineering.

- Base salary of $154,000/year to $217,000/year, plus bonus, equity, and benefits.
