Base Salary
$178k - $250k/yr
Responsibilities
- Own projects and product areas end-to-end, from researching customer problems through specification, design, implementation, and launch.
- Build features across the frontend, backend, and infrastructure as needed.
- Research competitors, write product specifications, create wireframes, and make product and design decisions.
- Develop reusable abstractions, tools, and building blocks that increase engineering leverage.
- Collaborate with product managers, designers, infrastructure engineers, and other stakeholders while communicating decisions and progress.
- Investigate customer issues and contribute to the quality and maintainability of the codebase.
Requirements
- Demonstrated experience leading or taking ownership of projects from conception through delivery.
- Ability to work across the technology stack and handle product and technical ambiguity.
- Strong product judgment and the ability to balance speed, quality, and urgency.
- Experience solving complex problems through abstractions, automation, and flexible system design.
- Excellent collaboration and communication skills, with a willingness to seek and incorporate feedback.
- Ambition to improve technical and product skills and operate with substantial autonomy.
- Experience with typed languages is helpful, but previous experience with Ashby's specific stack is not required.
